When can I check in?

Check-in is after 4:00 PM unless other arrangements have been made prior to your arrival. We ask that if plan to arrive after dark, that you notify us so that we can be on the look-out for you. The road to the chalet can be confusing on the first trip up. We would like to be at home should you need to call us.

When is check-out?

Check-out is 10:00 AM unless other arrangements have been made with the owner. To stay past 10:00 means that the cleaning of the units is held up and they may not be ready by 4:00 PM for the next guest checking in.

What must I pay in order to confirm my reservation?

In order to confirm your reservation, 25% of the rental fee must be paid via MasterCard or Visa.

What does my payment include?

Your rental payment includes the nightly/weekly/monthly cost of the rental. We then are required to add 10% for state and county taxes. Your payment DOES NOT include a security deposit  as we do not require this in addition to your payment. If you compare our rental rates to other area rentals, you will find other rentals/rental agents charge you a cleaning fee of between $85-$150 in addition to your rent( Our fee is $40 for Eagle's Perch and Eagle's Retreat and $60 for Eagle's Lair Chalet). As well you are assessed  by other rentals a security deposit of between $100-$300 which can be held up to 45 days from your departure, and 50% of the rental is required as a deposit to confirm your reservation. We save you money by not charging a  security deposit, by charging a significantly lower cleaning fee and by requiring only 25% of the rental to reserve the units.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my reservation?

As is standard practice with all area rentals, our policy is this:

If you cancel 31 days prior to your arrival date, you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel less than 31 days prior to your arrival date, you will not receive a refund unless the unit you have rented can be re-rented with no loss of income to the owner as is stated in our NC Vacation Rental Agreement.

As with other area rentals. ours is a private rental, once a reservation is made, we may receive inquiries for the same dates you have reserved and turn them down as a result of your reservation. Unlike hotels/motels which have drive in traffic to off-set cancellations, we cannot count on such traffic and, therefore, all reservations are firm within the 31 days prior to your arrival.

What do I need to bring and what is supplied by the owner?

All you need to bring are your personal items. We supply all linens, our kitchens are fully equipped, and we supply all soap and paper products. As well, we provide you towels to use whenever you visit our hot tub. This is another savings to you as compared to other area rentals who provide neither soap or paper products.

What are the spa hours and who can use the spa?

The spa hours are from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Only registered guests may use the spa. The spa is used at the guests' own risk.

What do I do if there is a problem on the premises during my stay?

No problem, the owner lives on the premises and is available to take care of problems whenever they arise.

Why Eagles Nest is Different

Unlike other area rentals, we do not add  booking fees, and we do not require a security deposit.

If you reserve 7 nights, the 7th night is free. Also, we provide laundry and bath soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels, a comprehensive TV and stereo package and free wireless high speed internet.

All of these savings and additional amenities are a benefit to you.
